On Saturday, April 20, 2024, a dynamic group of participants gathered for the Unstoppable Confidence Micro Retreat—a high-energy, high-impact day designed to foster unstoppable confidence through learning, experiencing, and sharing. My goal : That each person left the event have fostered new friendships, deepened existing ones, and strengthened their foundation of confidence to fuel their most audacious goals. This wasn’t your average personal development event. From the moment guests arrived, they were welcomed into an immersive environment where they were encouraged to engage, move, reflect, and grow—together.
The morning began with guided breathwork. This foundational practice helped attendees connect with their breath, calm their nervous systems, and reconnect with a tool that could be use in the next parts of the retreat.
Next came the pool training session featuring training above and below the water. In a safe and supportive environment, guests were guided through a progressive workout that challenged both the body and the mind. Participants of all experience levels engaged in movements designed to push past perceived limits—proving to themselves that confidence is built in action, not comfort. For those nervous about the pool or unsure of their swimming ability, the small group format allowed for personalized attention and modifications to ensure everyone could fully participate.
Following the pool, we transitioned into ice and heat therapy, another opportunity to practice resilience in real-time. Moving between cold plunges and sauna sessions, guests learned how to manage discomfort with breath and mindset—emerging more grounded, focused, and clear. This contrast therapy wasn’t just about recovery; it was a metaphor for life’s highs and lows, and the power we have to regulate ourselves within both.
After a full morning of physical and mental activation, we gathered for a nourishing, health-forward lunch and curated conversation. Meals included a thoughtful selection of lean proteins, vegetables, legumes, fruits, and healthy fats—fueling both the body and the ongoing dialogue. Dietary accommodations such as vegetarian and vegan options were honored, ensuring that all guests could enjoy a satisfying and energizing meal.
In the afternoon, we shifted from physical exploration to intentional planning. Greg Scheinman, a respected coach to mid-life men, led a transformative session on designing a personal action plan. He shared his framework for setting standards, defining non-negotiables, and taking ownership of one’s trajectory in mid-life and beyond. Guests then moved into a confidential roundtable discussion where they had the chance to reflect, share, and begin crafting their own life strategy—drawing inspiration from the confidence cultivated earlier in the day.
The Unstoppable Confidence Micro Retreat wasn’t just about tools or workouts—it was about transformation. Participants left feeling reconnected to their potential, empowered by the community, and equipped with a roadmap for what comes next.
