On Saturday, September 21, 2024, 20 incredible humans joined for a sold-out Regulate and Restore Micro Retreat—a half-day immersion in nervous system mastery, somatic practices, and genuine human connection.   I co-hosted this event with psychotherapist Jennifer Pinkerton  and movement coach Kelley Workman.   This retreat was designed to help participants upgrade their lives—mind, body, and community.

What We Explored

Each segment of the day was intentionally crafted to help participants ground, release, and realign—from emotional resilience to physical edgework:

 Nervous System Tools

Jennifer Pinkerton opened the retreat with a powerful session on how we respond to trauma and stress—then shared tools for emotional grounding, somatic release, and real-world resilience. Her guidance set a strong foundation for all that followed.

🏞 The Power Of Movement 

Participants had the option to challenge themselves in two distinct yet equally transformative ways. On land, Kelley Workman led a grounded, mindful movement session rooted in breath and body awareness. In the pool, guests explored an underwater workout that pushed perceived mental and physical limits—proving that growth happens when we meet discomfort with presence.

🔥❄️ Contrast Therapy: Ice + Heat Reset

We introduced contrast therapy as a core component of the experience—alternating between the cold plunge and sauna to help regulate the nervous system, support recovery, and build resilience. This powerful sequence is deeply relaxing and mentally energizing.

🤝 Nourishment + Connection

We finished the retreat with time for nourishment, connection, and celebration.  Guests enjoyed delicious, health-forward food catered by Dish Society, a celebratory toast with champagne and sparkling cider, and a moment to relax and connect.
